This Carbon Clear station balances a rich history and heritage with a pioneering view to the future.

Spend your nights in converted shearers' quarters, which have been lovingly restored and beautifully appointed while retaining their rustic charm.
Set your own pace while exploring on our kiwi-made electric motorbikes. They're emission free and silent so you can be fully immersed in the landscape while limiting your impact on farm operations and the environment.
"This place is truely unique. You can't help but feel inspired by the landscape and rugged beauty of the Station. We hope our efforts to apply best-in-class stewardship of our land and regenerative farming practices inspire others to think differently about carbon, conservation, biodiversity and animal welfare."
The team at Lake Hāwea Station have a bold ambition to contribute actively to tackling New Zealand's climate change challenge while preserving and regenerating their landscape. The station is moving rapidly towards modern farming and soil management practices that sacrifice short-term gain for positive long-term impacts on the environment, animal welfare and wool and meat quality.
The 10% contribution made by Tūtira on behalf of all guests supports the planting of over 10,000 native trees each year and helping to protect rare and endangered species like the Clutha Flathead Glaxid and Grand Skink.
